Fosamax, also known as a bisphosphonate drug, was designed to aid in strengthening bones in patients that have been diagnosed with osteoporosis.

Users of the drug Fosamax are currently in the process of filing lawsuits against drug maker Merck.

Fosamax injuries include femoral fractures, esophageal (throat) cancer, osteonecrosis of the jaw, and heart damage.
